UK: tendering process of Seaton beach management scheme gets under wayContracts & Tenders // February 20, 2017
The Midweek Hearlad reports that the tendering process for consultants to undertake work to create a Beach Management Plan for Seaton has started.
East Devon District Council (EDDC) has begun the tender process to find and appoint a consultant who can undertake the analysis of flooding and coastal erosion issues affecting Seaton and to write a BMP for the town.
The council has already received a good response to its tender with expressions of interest from 11 companies, the majority of which are based locally, with excellent experience of managing coastal erosion and flooding issues in the district.
Once the tender process has been completed, the council will appoint the successful consultant towards the end of March 2017 with a view to completing the BMP in autumn 2017.
